COVENANT OF CIRCUMCISION

God also said to Abraham: "On your part, you and your descendants after you must keep my covenant throughout the ages. This is my covenant with you and your descendants after you, the covenant you are to keep: Every male among you shall be circumcised." -- Genesis 17:9-10

"Thus, my covenant shall be in your flesh
as an everlasting pact."
Genesis 17:13

And He gave him the covenant of circumcision; and so Abraham became the father of Isaac, and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob of the twelve patriarchs. -- Acts 7:8

The Lord said to Moses, "Tell the Israelites: When a woman has conceived and gives birth to a boy, she shall be unclean for seven days, with the same uncleanness as at her menstrual period. On the eight day, the flesh of the boy's foreskin shall be circumcised." -- Leviticus 12:1-3

Jesus answered and said to them, "I performed one work and all of you are amazed because of it. Moses gave you circumcision - not that it came from Moses but rather from the patriarchs - and you circumcise a man on the sabbath. If a man can receive circumcision on a sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because I made a whole person well on a sabbath?" -- John 7:21-23

"Stop judging by appearances,
but judge justly."
John 21:24

When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they declared all that God had done with them. But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up, and said, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to charge them to keep the law of Moses." -- Acts 15:4-5

Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised. So if the uncircumcised man keeps the requirements of the Law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision? -- Romans 2:25-26

The one who is not circumcised physically and yet obeys the law will condemn you who, even though you have the written code and circumcision, are a lawbreaker. -- Romans 2:27

No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from men, but from God. -- Romans 2:29

Since there is only one God,
who will justify the circumcised by faith
and the uncircumcised through that same faith.
Romans 3:30

He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised, so that righteousness would be counted to them as well. -- Romans 4:11

Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation. -- Galatians 6:15

Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is the keeping of the commandments of God. -- 1 Corinthians 7:19

Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. -- Colossians 3:11

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. -- Galatians 5:6
